Immigration consultant's notes. Montenegro - the pearl of the Adriatic.

Montenegro - the pearl of the Adriatic.

Montenegro (Montenegro) is a tiny state on the Adriatic coast (over 290 km of coastline, 72 km of beaches), offering its admirers amazingly beautiful landscapes combined with rapidly growing tourist complexes and routes.

The undoubted advantage of Montenegro is that tourists can come here all year round. In summer it is a beach holiday, and in winter - ski resorts located just a few hours drive from the coast. The Belasitsa Mountain Range and Biogradska Gora National Park are an amazing natural reserve, on the territory of which there are a number of endangered species of birds and animals.

In winter, Belasitsa attracts lovers of winter sports, and in summer - hiking, walking, jeep safari, just nature lovers.

Another natural attraction of Montenegro is Lake Skadar, a place where you can see a very rare bird - the Curly Pelican.

Following the declaration of full independence in June 2006, Montenegro achieved some success in the economy, characterized by relatively high rates of economic growth (above the European average) and low public debt (below the European average). The basis of the Montenegrin economy is trade, tourism, agriculture and the energy sector.

Foreign direct investment is also an important factor in the growth of the country's economy, the volume of which in 2017 alone amounted to about 650 million euros.

The Montenegrin authorities are friendly to business and are open to interested foreign investors.

Less than a year ago, Montenegro was actively involved in the Citizenship for Investment (CIP) program, which is considered a step towards the development of the economy of small countries (examples, Malta, Caribbean countries).
